A sneak peak at my new website

My life plays out as such a crazy pace that I never seem to find enough spare time to write about the exciting projects that swallow so much of my attention.

My personal projects are all too often abandoned, sometimes when oh-so-close to being finished, due to the need to direct my full attention to some worthy cause or other.  I love worthy-cause projects.  They inspire and stimulate me.  However, I do sometimes regret my inability to better balance my commitments.

Nearly two years ago I built myself a new website, but it has sat there unlaunched ever since.  All because I didn't make the time to find the key person to walk me through the complexities of changing my domain name and associated emails across to the new platform.

I was unwilling to make the website visible until it had the correct domain address, but now it already needs updating and of course I am too busy with my current project to do that.  So here is a sneak preview of my new (2 year old) website, still awaiting transfer to my correct domain name, but in the meantime available for viewing at its (hopefully) temporary address!

Let me know what you think.
In my next post I'll tell you about my current worthy cause...

I was enthralled by the information I found on your new website! The photographs of your exhibition materials gave me a chance to see local art from the other side of the world. I also looked at the lagoon footage, and I was amazed to see the serenity in a place that can take a life so quickly. Life's hidden mysteries are invigorating and destructive at the same time.

Hello Brigida,
thankyou for your kind comments. I'm delighted that you enjoyed your visit. Your comment about the lagoon, and how quickly beauty can turn to terror, really struck home tonight. We have wonderful natural forests of tall trees in the south west corner of Western Ausralia where I live. Nothing is more serene than a forest dawn. Sadly our forests are tinder dry this summer, so a lightning strike a couple of days ago started a huge bushfire that has just destroyed a whole community only 90 minutes drive south of Perth, a little town on teh main road that we drive through often when we head south. No lives were lost, but a massive wall of fire many, many miles wide swept across the land and devastated the small town of Yarloop overnight, destroying nearly 100 homes and all the public buildings, leaving only a dozen homes standing. How quickly life can turn!

Great website and great artwork! I scrolled through and found myself getting lost as I looked through some of your art. I am bookmarking the page so I can show my wife later. This is exactly the kind of work she would enjoy. Thank you for sharing your page and your work!

I am a big believer in that if a worthy cause presents itself to you then you have to give it your attention. It does mean that some things get put on the back burner but like you I will return to them one day. Your new website looks extremely professional with a wealth of information. Looks fantastic!

thankyou Jessie, I'm pleased you enjoyed your visit to my website. It's nice to hear from someone who understands the importance of following those worthy causes that make life so interesting. I DID eventually get around to transferring the website to its correct domain address, but of course I was too distracted to remember to announce that fact. Your message is a good reminder that I should make the time to write here more often.
